Feedback on Provisional Final Artefacts

I iMessaged everyone from the promotional package focus group to ask them if they could watch my fourth edit.
They were all happy to and gave me really positive feedback on the music video.

This, along with the positive feedback I previously had from them about the ancillary products means I am at the end stage of creating my promotional package.  I am really happy with how it all turned out and can now evaluate the products

Music Video - Fourth Edit

Changes made:

As you can see above, I have placed the third and fourth edit side by side and played both videos simultaneously. This has enabled me to easily show the changes I have made to the music video.
(Some shots may appear to be fuzzy or out of focus but this is not a reflection on the quality of the footage, it is merely because I have taken a screenshot of moving image.

As you can see, in the third edit I cut away from some lip-synching footage too quickly.  I have changed this in the fourth edit and this has definitely had a positive impact in that it feels like more of a music video.

Seeing as it is so close to the deadline, I didn't have time to do another re-film so I looked over my footage from New York and found this clip of the flag.  This fits perfectly as it comes in over the lyric about John F. Kennedy

Here I have changed the framing of the video slightly and zoomed it out to drastically improve the quality of this shot of the police men and women.  I feel also tilted it very slightly to make it more straight.

I changed the timing of this part towards the end to make the text 'race disconnected us' start on the beat.  Seeing as the beat of this particular song is strong, and a lot of my other footage is driven by it, this was an import change to make and although I changed it by literally a second, I feel as though it's made a positive impact on the overall affect.

Here I changed the timing on the fade to black to complement the music more and to give more time to read the longer text of the protest board

In relation to some feedback I got a while ago, I have further edited the ending to make the #BlackLivesMatter text appear after the music has stopped.  This creates a more emotive and thought provoking finish which is what I wanted to happen.

Overall, I'm very happy with this edit

Digipak Insert Right - Third Draft

Changes made:

I've used a different photo for the right insert to give me more room for the text.
The compositional change from portrait to landscape has worked really well and I'm very happy with the outcome.

Music Video - Third Edit

Changes made:

I've changed the timing to make the lip synching more in-time to the music
I've also added more lip-synching in the middle part of the song as my peers gave me feedback to say that there wasn't as much in the middle
I also changed the ending to make the #BlackLivesMatter part appear when the music starts to fade out.

I'm quite happy witht this edit now, but will get some feedback from my target audience to ensure that this is something they like and that it's typical of some hip-hop and rap conventions.

Digipak Second Draft

Please click on the digipak below to see a bigger, clearer version, thank you.

Changes made:

I've completely changed the front cover of the digipak based on the feedback.
I've used another photo because I'd used the same one for each print product and the digipak insert.
This photo is still very similar to the other photo so that there's synergy between it and the magazine advertisement so people know it's the same album, but it's a different pose and looks more like a hip-hop/ rap album because of it.
